Big City Swing Orchestra takes residence at Wonderville Piccadilly Circus this January

Singers Matt Ford and Katie Birtill will perform with the 13 piece Big City Swing Orchestra at Wonderville for the first time, with a four-night residency.

The shows will take place at Wonderville in Piccadilly Circus from January 25- 28.

Enjoy a delicious three-course dinner, dance to live music and listen to songs performed by the UK’s top big band singers.

Matt Ford who has featured on BBC Proms, Radio 2’s Friday Night is Music Night, is widely regarded as the finest big band singer in the UK, voted Best UK Male Big Band Vocalist and nominated alongside Jamie Cullum in the inaugural Ronnie Scott’s Jazz awards for Best UK Male Vocalist.

Matt recently hit the No1 spot in the UK Jazz Chart and featured in the Top 40 Singles Chart with I Wanna Be Like You, the single released from the acclaimed album From Abbey Road.

Guest vocalist Katie Birtill is a No 1 charting singer and songwriter who has performed as a soloist with a wide range of orchestras in the UK and Europe and performs her own shows at cabaret clubs .

The Big City Swing Orchestra features a collection of fantastic big band musicians hand picked by Matt for this inaugural run of shows – three trumpets, three trombones, four saxophones, piano, bass and drums.

The repertoire will include classics like Come Fly With Me, Diamonds Are a Girl’s Best Friend and Mack The Knife plus a host of popular songs from the golden age of swing and beyond.
