Crystal Palace injury news for Chelsea fixture at Stamford Bridge

Crystal Palace boss Patrick Vieira confirmed he has the same squad available for Sunday’s clash at Stamford Bridge against Chelsea.

The Eagles were knocked out of the FA Cup last weekend after a 2-1 defeat at home to Southampton.

Chelsea – 10th and three points above Palace in the Premier League – suffered a 2-1 defeat at Fulham on Thursday.

Palace have not picked up any points against the west Londoners since 2017 when Wilfried Zaha sealed a 2-1 win under Roy Hodgson against Antonio Conte’s Chelsea.

Tyrick Mitchell is once again available for selection after serving his three-game suspension for a red card he picked up in the 3-0 defeat at home to Fulham on Boxing Day.

“Everyone from the last game has trained all week,” confirmed Vieira. “We had Tyrick with us. His suspension is over, so he’ll be part of the team.

“At the moment, they [Chelsea] may be in a difficult period because of everything going against them – and there are so many teams in that position – but it doesn’t take away the quality the quality of players and manager they have.

“We have to perform well and not think about the run of games they’re having at the moment.

“We want to focus on ourselves and improve on the last game – be more competitive, more consistent to allow ourselves to win.”
