Millwall boss on whether Lions will move in transfer market to bring in a striker

BY RICHARD CAWLEY

Tom Bradshaw’s knee surgery could see Millwall target a forward in the January window.

The Wales international suffered the injury during the recent derby defeat to Brentford.

Lions boss Neil Harris said: “We’ll have to look at transfer activities whether that is a striker or an attacking player. We’ll have to consider young Fred [Onyedinma], who is out at Wycombe – where we see his second half of the season.

“Aiden O’Brien has played extremely well in a wide area over the last couple of years, but for Ireland he has played further forward. There certainly might be an opportunity for him to get some minutes playing further forward.

“Yes, there is a thought process we might need to bring someone in. But also the answer might lie within.

“We’ll assess all our options over the next six weeks – there are a lot of games over that period.”
