Bolton Wanderers boss Parkinson: We were denied a penalty at The Den

Bolton Wanderers manager Phil Parkinson felt his side were denied a nailed-on penalty in today’s 1-1 draw with Millwall.
Will Buckley hit the turf during the first half but referee Lee Swabey was unimpressed with the appeals.
Lions boss Neil Harris felt the contact was outside the area.
Parkinson said: “Mixed feelings [tonight]. I’m very pleased the way we played, it’s not been the greatest points return in recent weeks. But I also thought the lads played very, very well today.
“Before we scored we could have had a penalty – you have got to see it to believe it. Will Buckley is clean through on goal and the lad runs across him.
“The keeper [Jordan Archer] has made a double save that is about as good as you are going to see. We can’t get that second goal, the keeper makes a save from Jason Lowe.
“Millwall keep putting the ball into the box, the lad’s had a shot, it’s gone through legs and into the corner of the goal.
“It’s still a good days work for us.”
Harris had a different view on the Buckley incident. He said: “I’ve looked back at it and I think it was a foul but contact is outside the box. It is a free-kick – not a penalty.”
