Crystal Palace’s Wilfried Zaha set for spell on the sidelines

Crystal Palace forward Wilfried Zaha is reportedly set to be sidelined for the next six weeks after suffering a hamstring injury in the 0-0 draw with Newcastle.

The Daily Mail are reporting that the Ivorian is not expected to return to fitness until March.

The Palace academy graduate will miss games against Manchester United, Brighton, Brentford and Liverpool in February.

Zaha is into the final six months of his contract with the South Londoners and is able to leave on a free transfer at the end of June.

The 30-year-old has featured in every Premier League outing this season. The draw with Newcastle was Zaha’s 450th appearance for the Eagles.

Zaha was forced off in the 64th minute at Selhurst Park against Eddie Howe’s side, with forward Jean-Philippe Mateta taking his place.
