Broncos secure one-month loans for Wigan duo

Harvie Hill and Zach Eckersley have joined London Broncos – with both players signing a loan agreement lasting until the end of the month from Wigan Warriors.

Both players join with Super League experience to their names, having made their debuts for Warriors against Hull KR last season.

Hill, 19, plays as a middle. Eckersley – also 19 – is a skilful centre.

Both players are eligible to play in Sunday’s Betfred Championship visit to Whitehaven, plus the Broncos’ remaining fixtures in February against Halifax Panthers and Sheffield Eagles, respectively.

Mike Eccles said: “We’re really pleased to welcome Harvie and Zach to the Broncos. We’ve been working closely with Wigan in recent weeks and are delighted to reach an agreement.

“Harvie is a very good middle and current England Knights squad member. He’s tough and can carry the ball hard. He’s a good addition for us.

“Zach is a great prospect, too, and is an exciting skilful player. He’s a big unit who, again, can carry the ball well and is a great defender.

“We look forward to monitoring their progress through the month.”
