Tom Bradshaw reacts to his hat-trick for Millwall against high-flying Sheffield United

Tom Bradshaw has praised the mentality of his Millwall team after their epic 3-2 win over Sheffield United yesterday.

The striker scored a hat-trick against the Blades as the hosts bounced back emphatically from their midweek 1-0 reverse at Coventry City.

“When you’re on the pitch you know when we’re really on it,” Bradshaw told Millwall TV. “It felt like that from the first minute – that we were on top, the counter-attacks and the press was bang on.

“To score a hat-trick was the icing on the cake.

“Vogey was brilliant today – and Burkey. The two wide lads were superb. Burkey put the perfect-weighted ball and I lashed it, luckily it went into the roof of the net.

“Vogey’s cross for the second one – it is easy to lash at them in those positions. It’s a great ball.

“The third one is a lot harder than it looks, to pick the right ball in those moments. I did my best to try and put it over!

“It shows the character of the team, and belief, that we went up against the side who are second in the league and have got a lot of points – we weren’t happy with the draw. We kept going for the win.

“[At half-time] the manager told us to keep doing what we were doing and you will get the breakthroughs.”
