Fulham’s Joao Palhinha drawing interest from several Premier League rivals – with Manchester United and Liverpool monitoring the midfielder

Fulham midfielder Joao Palhinha is reportedly drawing interest ahead of the summer transfer window.

The Sun are reporting that Premier League rivals Manchester United, Newcastle, Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal and Tottenham are all monitoring the former Braga player.

The west Londoners brought the Portuguese midfielder last summer in a £17million deal from Sporting Lisbon.

The 27-year-old has scored four goals in 28 appearances for Marco Silva’s side in all competitions.

Palhinha, who has won 102 tackles in the Premier League this season and picked up 10 yellow cards in the top flight, has a contract until 2027 at Craven Cottage.

Speaking about the midfielder, Fulham boss Silva said: “Palhinha is happy here.

“It is the same with players and managers. It is impossible to control what people write.

“Whether it is managers or players are linked with clubs, or if there is interest.

“To be honest, it is something that we don’t lose time thinking about these situations.

“With Joao, it is the same.”
