Millwall forward aiming to bring club form to international stage

Tom Bradshaw is hoping he can replicate his Millwall form with the Welsh national side.

The 30-year-old forward received his first call-up to the Wales squad since March 2018 after bagging 14 goals in the Championship this season for the Lions.

Rob Page has called up Bradshaw for Wales’ Euro 2024 qualifiers against Croatia and Latvia.

The former Shrewsbury Town man has three international caps to his name.

Wales are set for a new era after Gareth Bale – top goalscorer and appearance holder for the nation – retired from football following the 2022 Qatar World Cup.

“The ultimate goal for any professional footballer is to represent their country,” Bradshaw told Welsh TV broadcaster Sgorio.

“You do that by playing well for your club consistently. It’s been a while since I was last involved. But a lot of the ground is lads I have known for years.

“It’s a strong squad still. Although, obviously, there have been some massive characters who have retired, the ability is there for everyone to see.

“It’s a well-rounded group. We have pace in attacking areas, a lot of goal threat, and as well as being sturdy in defence.

“I would love to be able to bring my form from Millwall to the team. Hopefully, I can help in any way I can.”
