Man charged after two police officers injured in collision

Police have charged a man with multiple offences after the car he was driving collided with two police cars causing injury to two officers.

At around 5.15pm on Saturday officers attempted to stop a car near North End Road in Fulham.

Tanacha Weekes, 47, of Crouch Hill, was arrested after the car he was driving collided with two police cars and injured the two officers in Fulham.

He was charged on Sunday with two counts of assault on an emergency worker, one count of attempted grievous bodily harm and dangerous driving.

He appeared at Westminster Magistrates’ Court yesterday and remains in custody. He will appear again at Isleworth Crown Court on May 5.
