Charlton Athletic defender’s latest red card means he will miss rest of April fixtures as extra matches added to ban

Charlton defender Ryan Inniss will serve a three-match ban after his red card at Ipswich Town – landing a longer suspension due to the amount of red cards he has received this season.

The former Crystal Palace centre-back has been dismissed four times in the current campaign but had one – against Fleetwood Town – rescinded.

Inniss was sent off for fouling Ipswich Town striker Freddie Ladapo just outside the penalty box in the 6-0 loss to the League One promotion chasers.

He will be unavailable for tomorrow’s match at Milton Keynes followed by Morecambe and Port Vale.

Addicks boss Dean Holden said: “It’s going to be a three-game ban for Ryan. They have added another two games due to the accumulation of the other red cards.”

Charlton are already missing young defender Lucas Ness (knee).

Sean Clare (ankle) trained this morning and will be assessed again tomorrow.
