Top young goalkeeping prospect confirms AFC Wimbledon exit – with Manchester City switch on the cards

Highly-rated keeper Spike Brits has confirmed he is quitting AFC Wimbledon.

Reports have claimed that the 15-year-old, capped by England at U16 level, has passed a medical with Manchester City. Our paper revealed he had also spent time with Brighton and Brentford as he assessed his options.

“From being a five-year-old fan, to making my international debut – this club has been with me through it all,” Brits tweeted.

“I hope to one day return and push the club to the heights it belongs, but until then I wish everyone at the club all the best in the future for what’s to come.”
