Player ratings from Crystal Palace’s 2-2 draw at Fulham – Guehi produces strong display as Edouard takes his chance

Crystal Palace played out a 2-2 draw at Fulham on Saturday.

Here are Edmund Brack’s player ratings from Selhurst Park:

SAM JOHNSTONE – 6

Went the right way but had no chance with the penalty – Mitrovic dispatched his effort into the top left-hand corner.

An unbelievable stop in the 66th minute to throw his hand into the top right-hand corner and tip Willian’s shot from the edge of the box over the bar.

JOEL WARD – 7

Had a challenging afternoon up against Willian but ventured forward well again and was rewarded with his goal in the 83rd minute.

JOACHIM ANDERSEN – 6

A battle all game with Aleksandar Mitrovic. Won two aerial battles and made four clearances.

MARC GUEHI – 8

Won 10 of his 11 battles, made three interceptions and made four clearances. Apart from the free-kick defending, which was a team problem, Guehi dealt with Mitrovic exceptionally throughout the game.

TYRICK MITCHELL – 5

Crucial header before half-time to stop Harry Wilson from having a free header at goal. However, gave away the penalty which Mitrovic converted.

CHEICK DOUCOURE – 6

Made four blocks and made two interceptions.

WILL HUGHES – 7

Won three of his four tackles and had another strong performance.

EBERECHI EZE – 7

A beautiful shimmy and pass on the counterattack to set up Edouard for the opener. Goes quiet for spells in games, but, then pounces into life.

MICHAEL OLISE – 6

Had a tough afternoon against Antonee Robinson, who had the pace and power to match the young Frenchman.

JORDAN AYEW – 7

Created Palace’s best chance before Edouard’s goal – driving past Kenny Tete and crossing along the face of goal.

Set up Edouard in the second half. But the forward smashed his effort into the hands of Leno.

Worked hard all game.

ODSONNE EDOUARD – 7

Took his goal really well – smashing a shot beyond Leno with his left foot.

Excellent link-up play.
