Eltham flyweight wins close decision in Dublin

Eltham flyweight Maisey Rose Courtney moved to 3-0 with a points win over Kate Radomska in Dublin on Saturday night.

The 22-year-old, who entered the paid ranks in October, was a 58-57 victor.

Courtney said: “She was game. I had two fights, four rounders, against journeywomen and now I’ve had a six-rounder with someone who wanted to have a go. It was fun.

“I showed what I need to work on and I showed if I want to put my foot down and have a fight than I can. I’m quite happy with my performance.

“I feel like I’m progressing at the rate that I should.”
