Former Wimbledon and Charlton forward Lyle Taylor released by Nottingham Forest

Lyle Taylor has been released by Nottingham Forest at the end of the Premier League season.

The 33-year-old did not feature once during the campaign for Steve Cooper’s side but was named on the bench in their opening two Premier League fixtures.

Greenwich-born Taylor made 61 appearances during his time at the City Ground, scoring eight goals and picking up one assist.

Taylor made 150 appearances during his time with the Dons, winning promotion to League One under Neal Ardely in 2016. He scored 55 goals and recorded 21 assists during his Wimbledon career.

The former Bournemouth and Sheffield United forward joined Charlton in June 2018 and made 67 appearances during his stint at The Valley, scoring 36 goals in the process.

Taylor has also had stints at Falkirk, Partick Thistle, Scunthorpe and Birmingham during his career.
