Crystal Palace keeper completes Rangers switch

Jack Butland has completed his permanent move to Rangers after he was released by Crystal Palace.

The 30-year-old spent the second half of last season on loan at Manchester United but failed to make an appearance under Erik ten Hag.

Butland was out of contract at Selhurst Park and made 17 appearances during his time with the South Londoners after he joined from Stoke.

The former Birmingham City keeper has nine England appearances to his name and joins Dujon Sterling and Kieran Dowell at Ibrox.

“The club speaks for itself,” Butland said. “No matter where you are in football, you know about Rangers Football Club.

“I feel great and motivated at the age that I am – and I feel excited at what the future holds. Doing that at a club that is equally as passionate about winning and being at the top was huge for me.”
