The Royal Arsenal Riverside hosts free community festival

A free summer festival for two and four-legged friends alike.

The Royal Arsenal Riverside in Woolwich is holding a free community festival on June 24.

Coinciding with the bi-weekly farmers’ market in Artillery Square, the day will have something for everyone including free interactive workshops and activities.

For those with furry four-legged friends, the Woolwich Woofs Dog Show will take place in the afternoon followed by a hula hoop workshop for the family, led by the Guinness world record-holding hoop troupe, The Majorettes.

If dancing is more your scene then you can get moving as part of a salsa workshop in the early evening.

A host of other free activities will be on offer during the day, including face painting, a carousel ride for children as well as a selection of stalls selling street food and drinks to maintain your energy levels.

Also taking place during the festival is Greenwich’s very own talent show.

Acts will battle it out throughout the day to be crowned Greenwich’s Got Talent winner and take home a £200 cash prize and have the chance to perform for the whole festival later in the evening.

Live Music will proceed into the evening inside Woolwich Visitors Book Café for those aged 16 or over only.
