Chelsea complete Nkunku deal

Chelsea have announced the £52million transfer of Christopher Nkunku from RB Leipzig.

The French forward will become a Chelsea player officially on July 1, penning a six-year deal at Stamford Bridge.

Nkunku scored 16 goals and grabbed six assists in 25 Bundesliga appearances last season.

The 25-year-old is Mauricio Pochettino’s second signing of the summer after the transfer of 16-year-old Ecuadorian midfielder Kendry Paez.

“I am incredibly happy to be joining Chelsea,” said the former PSG youngster.

“A big effort was made to bring me to the club and I am looking forward to meeting my new coach and team-mates and showing the Chelsea supporters what I can do on the pitch.

“Having played in Ligue 1 and the Bundesliga, I now want to play in the Premier League, one of the strongest leagues in the world. 

“I am very excited for this challenge and will be proud to wear the Chelsea shirt.”
