Charlton facing rival League One interest for Ipswich Town midfielder El Mizouni

Charlton Athletic want to sign Ipswich Town midfielder Idris El Mizouni on loan.

The Addicks are facing competition from Derby County and Wycombe Wanderers for the 22-year-old Parisien, who spent last season with League Two champions Leyton Orient.

The Tractor Boys want El Mizouni to build on his temporary spell with the O’s by testing himself in League One.

The East Anglian Times claim that the player, capped once by Tunisia, favours a move to Derby.

El Mizouni came through Ipswich’s academy and has also had loans at Cambridge United and Grimsby Town.

He scored three goals and made 45 appearances in all competitions for Orient.

El Mizouni has one year left on his Town contract but the Championship new boys also hold an option to extend by a further 12 months.
