Crystal Palace complete late deadline day deal for Chelsea frontman Michy Batshuayi

BY RICHARD CAWLEY

Crystal Palace pushed through a late loan deal for Michy Batshuayi – the Chelsea striker just about beating the deadline for the deal to be completed.

The Eagles submitted the paperwork needed before 11pm last night to give themselves an extra two hours to tie up the deal.

And they confirmed Batshuayi has signed half an hour after midnight. He is available for tomorrow’s match against Fulham.

The Belgian international striker has been on loan at Valencia for the first part of the campaign.

Batshuayi said: “I’m hungry for game time and goals and I hope I will find all that here at Palace.”
