Miss World Ponce de León pays a visit to Rockbourne Youth Club in Forest Hill
Miss World, Vanessa Ponce de León from Mexico, visited the Rockbourne Youth Club in Forest Hill which provides respite for children with special education needs and disabilities, and was invited to take part in an impromptu boxing class.
Putting on the gloves and taking part in the boxing was not part of the planned visit, but when asked by Kelsyie Pacquette to join her for a sparring session, Vanessa, 26, didn’t hesitate to put on the gloves, despite not being dressed for the occasion.
Lee Bruce, the boxing coach, said: “The kids were so excited to see Miss World. She’s got a great right hook on her and would have a bright future in the ring if she ever wanted to change career.”
