Chelsea striker completes season-long loan away from Stamford Bridge

Chelsea striker David Fofana has completed a season-long loan move to Union Berlin in the Bundesliga.

The 20-year-old only signed for the Blues last January, joining from Norweigan side Molde in a deal worth a reported €13million.

He signed a six-year deal at Stamford Bridge.

However, the Ivory Coast forward only made four appearances – all as a substitute – in the second half of last season.

Union Berlin finished fourth in the German top flight last season and will be playing in the Champions League for the first time in their history.
