53 new homes to be built on site of old police station

Developers have been given the go-head to demolish a former police station and build 53 new homes on the site.

Investment firm and developers, TT Group, will deliver 53 new homes, 35 of which will be affordable, on the former Shepherd’s Bush Police Station site in Uxbridge Road, Shepherd’s Bush.

The London borough of Hammersmith and Fulham approved the plans at Tuesday evening’s planning committee, which will see the vacant site come back into use.

Formation Architects have designed the project. Plans for the site include a number of eco-friendly features including an air source heat pump, PV panels, and green roofs.

There will also be children’s play areas in the development and the scheme will include upgrades to pedestrian and cycle facilities in the area and tree planting on Uxbridge Road.

James Bradbury, senior development manager at TT Group said: “This currently vacant site can deliver substantial benefits for the local community in Shepherd’s Bush, so we are pleased to have worked closely with the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham over the last 18 months to reach this point and to have secured approval to move forward with the development.

“We look forward to continuing to work with the borough to deliver on other sites within our portfolio.”
