Released Millwall defender pens Gillingham deal

Scott Malone has signed for Gillingham after being released by Millwall at the end of last season.

The 32-year-old has been training with Neil Harris’ side during pre-season and played against Charlton in a friendly.

The former Fulham, Cardiff and Derby player also went with the Kent club to their pre-season camp in Como.

Malone made 34 appearances for the Lions last season, scoring one goal.

Gillingham finished 17th in League Two last season but have signed Jonny Williams, Conor Masterson and Max Clarke ahead of the 2023-24 campaign.
