Millwall loan hit signs new long-term contract

Former Millwall loanee Charlie Cresswell has signed a new contract with Leeds United.

The England U21 international impressed with the Lions last season only for the end of his campaign to come prematurely after suffering a fractured eye socket at West Bromwich Albion which required surgery.

Cresswell has signed a four-year deal extension with Leeds, who were relegated from the Premier League in May.

He is set to be back at The Den on September 17, the fixture between the two clubs moved back a day after being selected for coverage live by Sky Sports.

Cresswell has been handed the number five shirt by United.

He made 28 appearances for Millwall and scored five goals.
