‘I’ve always dreamed of being on TV’: Croydon jeweller to appear on Channel 4 show

The deputy manager of a high-end pawnbroker and jewellers has announced she has been cast as part of the team of experts in Channel 4’s new series, Millionaire Hoarders.

Rachel Fox, 34, from North Croydon, specialises in antique, modern and diamond jewellery at Suttons and Robertsons in Old Brompton Road, South Kensington.

Ms Fox said: “I’ve always dreamed of being on the TV and secretly had myself down as a future presenter of one of the popular shows.

“However, to be involved in a brand-new programme is the ultimate dream and I’m just so excited to have this amazing opportunity.

“It’s been great fun filming with the crew and meeting such interesting people and helping unearth their hidden valuables and I’m grateful to my colleagues and bosses at Sutton’s and Robertsons who have been so supportive of me being involved in the show.”

Millionaire Hoarders brings four experts together to sift through homes packed full of potential, to unearth items that could raise life-changing sums of cash for their owners.

In the first series, which includes three one-hour episodes, Ms Fox unearths a gemstone that could raise a life-changing sum of money.

She said: “Given we’re in such tough economic times right now, Millionaire Hoarders presents a wonderful opportunity to encourage people to sift through their possessions as you just never know what could be uncovered.

“I hope that the show inspires people to have a look and that here at Suttons and Robertsons, we’ll get the chance to help members of the public realise their hidden treasures too.”

Suttons and Robertsons has four branches in London including Victoria, Edgware Road and Fleet Street.

The episode featuring Ms Fox can be seen in Millionaire Hoarders on Channel 4 on Friday at 8pm.
