Millwall v Sheffield Wednesday team line-ups: O’Brien starts with Thompson dropping to bench

BY RICHARD CAWLEY

Millwall manager Neil Harris has made one change for tonight’s home game against Sheffield Wednesday – Aiden O’Brien starting instead of Ben Thompson.

It seems likely that will see the Lions shift to a 4-4-2 formation with the Republic of Ireland international partnering Lee Gregory in attack.

Ben Marshall starts for the South Londoners but will be ineligible for Saturday’s FA Cup fifth round tie at AFC Wimbledon.

Tom Bradshaw (knee), Ben Amos (finger) and Conor McLaughlin (calf) are all unavailable for the hosts.

Tom Elliott (shoulder) is also not fit, despite claims he would undergo a late test to see if he could return.

The Lions have won only one of their last 10 league matches against the Sheffield club – losing six of them.

If Millwall fail to score it will be the first time since August 2013 that they have gone three consecutive home league matches without netting.

Millwall: Archer, Romeo, Hutchinson, Cooper, M Wallace, Leonard, Williams, J Wallace, Marshall, O’Brien, Gregory. Subs: Martin, Thompson, Onyedinma, Ferguson, Pearce, Tunnicliffe, Morison.

Sheffield Wednesday: Westwood, Palmer, Fox, Pelupessy, Fletcher, Bannan, Thorniley, Joao, Reach, Hutchinson, Hector. Subs: Dawson, Nuhiu, Boyd, Iorfa, Lazaar, Aarons, Forestieri.
