Ongoing investigation into death of man on train tracks
The British Transport Police has said there is an “ongoing investigation” into the death of a man at a train station on Saturday.
Officers and the London Ambulance Service (LAS) were called at around 7.30am to reports of a casualty on the tracks at Elephant and Castle Underground station.
An ambulance crew, incident response officer and members of the LAS hazardous area response team (HART) all attended the scene.Â
Sadly, the person was pronounced dead at the scene.
A spokesman from the British Transport Police said: “His family has been informed and is being supported by specially trained officers.
“The investigation is ongoing.”
