Millwall complete loan deal for Arsenal defender Brooke Norton-Cuffy

Millwall have confirmed the loan signing of Arsenal defender Brooke Norton-Cuffy.

Our website broke the news that the Lions were close to sealing a temporary deal for the England U20 international, who had loan spells with Rotherham United and Coventry City last season.

Norton-Cuffy has been handed the number 17 shirt and looks set to come straight into Gary Rowett’s side for Saturday’s home match against Stoke City.

He is the Lions’ sixth signing of the summer transfer window.

Alex Aldridge, Millwall’s director of football operations and recruitment, said: “We are delighted to welcome Brooke to the club.

“He is held in very high regard by Arsenal – both as a player and as a character – and he has exciting attributes that we feel can really strengthen Gary’s squad.

“Brooke joins us after a year of playing in the Championship over two loan spells last season, as well as in important play-off games for Coventry, and those experiences will no doubt stand him in good stead to make a positive impact in a Millwall shirt.”
