Millwall and Palace youngsters called up to Ireland U21 squad
Crystal Palace youngsters Killian Philipps and Sean Grehan has been called up to the Republic of Ireland U21 squad for their opening European Championship 2025 qualifiers against Turkey and San Marino in Cork.
Midfielder Philipps signed a new deal with the Eagles before joining Wycombe on a season-long loan deal.
Defender Grehan plays with Darren Powell’s U21 side.
Millwall forward Aidomo Emakhu has also been called up by boss Jim Crawford.
The 19-year-old has featured four times under Gary Rowett in the Championship this season and scored in the 3-1 defeat at Norwich.
Ireland take on Turkey on Friday 8 September and then play San Marino the following Tuesday.
Former Crystal Palace defender Paul McShane has been named the new assistant manager of Ireland’s U21 side.
