It’s done. Thankfully, it is done. It’s been a long, long, long day. But it finishes – at least for this blog – with a transfer getting across the line.

Charlton have signed Slobodan Tedic on a season-long loan.

Addicks technical director Andy Scott said: “We can say this has been a saga in getting the player to us. It’s been a long drawn-out process, however we are delighted to bring in someone of his quality from such an important club to Charlton. We thank Manchester City for their help in getting this over the line.

“We hope Boban can show everybody at Charlton the quality that he has and that he can go one step further than he did with Barnsley last season in League One.”

Palace goalkeeper arrives in Spain – 21:00PM

Crystal Palace goalkeeper Vicente Guaita has been videoed in Spain ahead of a proposed move to Celta Vigo.

Reports from Spain suggest that the 36-year-old – who refused to play for the club after losing his first-team starting spot to Sam Johnstone – has ripped up his Crystal Palace deal.

Guaita joined the club from Getafe on a free transfer in 2019 and has made 154 appearances at Selhurst Park.

Charlton winger moves to Scotland – 20:10PM

The 25-year-old South Londoner had a loan spell last season at AFC Wimbledon.

Callum Hudson-Odoi is a Nottingham Forest player. The winger has moved from Chelsea on a three-year contract.

Hudson-Odoi said: “It’s massive for me to be here and I can’t wait to get started. It’s a new chapter for me.

“I know a couple of the boys already which was a big thing for me, and I obviously know the manager well, so it’s nice to be here and see familiar faces around.”

Charlton technical director Andy Scott said: “James is a highly-regarded young player who was the subject of a large transfer fee from St. Patrick’s in Ireland to Udinese. He has already made his debut in Serie A which shows how much they think of him.

“He is a player that I watched a number of years ago in Ireland and I have followed his career ever since, through the Republic of Ireland youth age groups from U16 to U21 level. All the reports we have had on him are exceptional and, with James joining, it gives us more defensive versatility.”

Dons complete second loan signing of the day – 17:00PM

AFC Wimbledon have announced the signing of Stockport County midfielder Connor Evans on loan until the end of the season.

Dons boss Johnnie Jackson said: “He’s a player that I’ve liked for a long time. He was part of the really successful Torquay team that Armani Little and Joe Lewis came from. He knows those guys and he was one of the most sought after players in the National League when Stockport signed him.

“They beat a lot of clubs to his signature. He’s found himself in and out of their team this season but he’s got bundles of ability and can play across the front three positions. Left-wing, right-wing, can play as a 10 – he’s a very creative player that wants to get on the ball and score goals. He will give us a creative spark at the top end of the pitch.”

Luton midfielder Watson makes Charlton loan move – 16:30PM

Luton Town midfielder Louie Watson has joined Charlton on loan – a story we broke right at the start of the day when we were still feeling bright and breezy (nobody mention there are still six hours left in this transfer window).

The 22-year-old is the Addicks’ ninth signing of the window.

Charlton technical director Andy Scott: “He is another player who is highly-regarded and their rise to the Premier League has given us this unique opportunity to get a young player with immense talent into our football club. Unfortunately we have had a number of injuries in our midfield area and so the acquisition of Louie will complement the group well and give us more strength in depth.”

Ian Maatsen looks set for a loan move to Burnley.

“As with most of the signings this summer, the enthusiasm and the appetite from the lad when I spoke to him about coming here was infectious. He wants to be a part of what we’re doing and has seen how we’ve started the season. In recent games, we’ve found ourselves a bit light in that position, so he’s here to help us.”

Former Charlton striker Mason Burstow is reportedly set for a season-long loan at Championship side Sunderland.

Millwall have announced the signing of Allan Campbell on a season-long loan from Luton Town.

Campbell made 48 appearances for the Hatters last season and the Glaswegian was also on Millwall’s radar while he was plying his trade at Motherwell.

“There has been a long-standing interest in him,” Millwall boss Gary Rowett told the South London Press. “He is one of those players whose sheer energy and drive means you can’t help but admire. He has got lots of qualities to go with that as well.

“He’s showed that over the last few seasons. He started a lot of games for Luton last season, in a division they managed to get out of – it’s something we’re aspiring to do also.

“He’ll be a really, really good addition to the group.

“We’re working on the basis that you can’t have too many quality players in your squad. If he was available and it’s a deal that is doable I’d be very happy to work with him.

“Our squad is not that massive. There is space in the 25-man squad for another player. If it could be Rob we’d be happy with that.”

Fulham look set to allow another asset to leave – 12:26PM

First it was Aleksandar Mitrovic. Now it looks set to be midfield powerhouse Joao Palhinha on his way out of Fulham.

Not many Premier League clubs would allow two of their key players and prize assets to go, let alone in the same transfer window.

The Portuguese rock has been granted permission to fly out to Germany as Bayern Munich have reportedly agreed a deal in principle. Suggestion is that the deal will only go through if Fulham are able to line up a replacement.
