Barnsley and Peterborough face transfer window frustration in pursuit of Wimbledon striker
AFC Wimbledon are confident of keeping hold of striker Ali Al-Hamadi this transfer window.
The 21-year-old has been subject to interest from Barnsley and Peterborough this summer.
However, the South London Press understands the Dons are increasingly confident that the forward will be going nowhere before the 11PM deadline.
The Iraqi striker joined the Dons on a free transfer from Wycombe last winter.
Matt Bloomfield’s side have a sizeable sell-on clause included in any future sale.
The former Tranmere and Swansea youngster – who won Wimbledon’s Player of the Year last season – has scored 10 goals in all competitions since arriving at Plough Lane.
He is yet to get off the mark this campaign for Johnnie Jackson’s side.
