Joshua Buatsi: My next fight will definitely be a world title eliminator

Joshua Buatsi is still expecting his next opponent to be Dan Azeez after the pair’s light-heavyweight clash was postponed last week.

The South London pair were supposed to clash in a world-title eliminator at Greenwich’s 02 Arena last Saturday but Lewisham’s Azeez suffered a back injury.

Croydon’s Buatsi – asked by iFL TV if Azeez would 100 per cent still be happening – said: “As far as I’m concerned it is.

“Even if it not, my next fight will definitely be a final eliminator.

“It has been a very up and down week. I trained months and months for this fight and to be hit with that news, it wasn’t nice.

“I feel annoyed about it, but what can I do?”
