Ex-Millwall boss Gary Rowett linked with vacant Championship job
Gary Rowett has been linked with the vacant managerial job at Bristol City just more than a week after leaving Millwall by mutual consent.
Sky Sports News have reported that Rowett is one of the names on Bristol City’s managerial shortlist after Nigel Pearson was sacked following their 2-0 defeat at Cardiff on Saturday.
Former Leicester boss Pearson spent two-and-a-half years in his post at Ashton Gate.
Rowett – who managed Millwall for almost four years – left The Den on October 19 by mutual consent.
The report also suggests that John Eustace and former Luton and Southampton boss Nathan Jones are also candidates for the job.
Bristol City are 15th in the Championship.
Rowett has also had spells at Derby, Birmingham and Stoke during his managerial career.
