Exclusive: Crystal Palace midfielder pens contract extension

Crystal Palace midfielder Jack Wells-Morrison has signed a contract extension with the club.

The South London Press understands that the 19-year-old – who was due to be out of contract at the end of this season – has penned a new deal that has been extended until the end of the 2024-25 campaign.

Wells-Morrison, who looks poised for a January loan move, had interest from a side in League One over the summer window.

He scored a brace for Darren Powell’s U21 side in their 7-1 win over Leeds last Friday and made the bench for Roy Hodgson’s first team in the 3-2 EFL Cup win at Plymouth.

Wells-Morrison has been capped several times by England at U18 level and was also named on the bench for the Eagles last season in games against Newcastle and Southampton in the Premier League under Patrick Vieira.

He has scored three goals and picked up one assist in six Premier League 2 outings this season.
