A man has been charged in connection with a car crash that left a 22-year-old woman with “potentially life-changing” injuries.

Kane Davies-Parkes, 27, of Westbury Road, Croydon, was arrested on Friday. He will appear at Croydon Magistrates’ Court today, charged with causing serious injury by dangerous driving.

Police were called at around 11.20pm on December 12 to reports of a collision involving a car and a motorbike in London Road, Thornton Heath.

The woman who was riding the motorbike was taken to hospital for treatment.

Her condition is not life-threatening but potentially life-changing and she remains in hospital.
