Exclusive: League One side lead loan chase for Crystal Palace striker
League One side Shrewsbury are leading the chase to land Crystal Palace striker Ademola Ola-Adebomi on loan in January, the South London Press understands.
The 20-year-old has 13 goals and two assists to his name in all competitions this season and has been named in Roy Hodgson’s senior matchday squad multiple times.
Lewisham-raised Ola-Adebomi also won the Premier League 2 Player of the Month award for November 2023 as the campaign reaches the halfway mark.
He also netted for Darren Powell’s side in the EFL Trophy defeat at Stevenage in November.
Palace sent Rob Street – who was sold to Cheltenham at the start of this season – and Killian Phillips, now on loan at Wycombe, to Shrewsbury last season.
The Shrews are 13th in League One and are 12 points off the play-off places. They are the second-lowest scorers in League One this season, having only found the net 13 times in 22 outings.
