Casper De Norre resumes full training with Millwall – as midfielder pencilled in for return at QPR

Casper De Norre could be back in Millwall’s squad for their Championship derby at QPR after resuming full training today.

The Belgium midfielder, signed in the summer from OH Leuven, had impressed for the Lions before picking up a injury which head coach Joe Edwards described as “unusual” – affecting both his calf and Achilles.

De Norre has been out since the start of December.

“He did a couple of sessions last week where he was sort of on modified training,” Edwards told the South London Press. “He trained today for the first time – just as a normal member of the group, full contact.

“Definitely lacking a bit of fitness and sharpness, where you can see he has been out for a period of time. He won’t be available for selection this weekend against Middlesbrough. “But I think we will have him potentially involved maybe against QPR.

“He is on course for what we initially set. It’s good to have him back out training with us.”
