Oliver Glasner set for Crystal Palace job – but Roy Hodgson still keen to be involved for Everton clash
Oliver Glasner is set to be confirmed as the next Crystal Palace manager after terms have been broadly agreed on a deal, the South London Press understands.
The 49-year-old has been staying at a hotel in Greenwich and was spotted at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday afternoon as he watched Spurs lose 2-1 at home to Wolves.
Palace head to Ange Postecoglou’s side on March 2.
Glasner has been out of work since leaving Eintracht Frankfurt at the end of last season, where he won the Europa League after beating Real Betis, Barcelona and West Ham en route to a 6-5 penalty shootout final victory over Rangers.
The South Londoners play Everton in a battle at the bottom of the Premier League on Monday evening, with our paper understanding current boss Roy Hodgson is keen on being involved in some capacity after collapsing in training on Thursday in what could be his final game. Palace would want to be assured he was fit and well enough to be at Goodison Park.
Croydon-born Hodgson was taken to hospital after falling ill but is thought to be recovering well.
