Millwall manager Neil Harris has admitted he is hoping to do a deal for Eastbourne Borough defender Harry Ransom.
The Lions were linked this week with the youngster – with claims they were close to concluding a switch. Because it is outside of the transfer window, the Championship side would not be able to instantly add Ransom to their ranks.
Harris told the South London Press: “Harry has trained with us on various occasions and we’ve seen him play extremely well for Eastbourne Borough this year.
“I’ve shown in the past that signing players from non-league is a big part in my belief that players, particularly young ones, get given an opportunity.
“Harry is a player we like and hopefully we might be able to do something to bring Harry into the club in the near future.”
