Oliver Glasner delighted with Crystal Palace’s first-half display in win over West Ham
Crystal Palace boss Oliver Glasner praised the first 30 minutes of his side’s performance in their 5-2 win over West Ham on Sunday afternoon.
Palace took the lead after seven minutes when Joachim Andersen crossed for Michael Olise to head home his first goal under Glasner.

Eberechi Eze doubled Palace’s lead when Jean-Philippe Mateta forced a smart stop from Lukasz Fabianski. The West Ham keeper sent the ball up in the air, only for Eze to scissor-kick the ball into the roof of the net.
The Eagles added a third when Will Hughes’ cross towards the back post saw Emerson turn the ball into his own net.
Mateta then bagged his fifth goal under Glasner and Palace’s fourth of the game when he met Olise’s low cross along the face of goal.
Michail Antonio pulled one back for West Ham in the 40th minute after he beat Dean Henderson to the ball from a Tomas Soucek header.
Palace added a fifth midway through the second half when Eze danced around the West Ham defence and played the ball through the legs of Kurt Zouma to Mateta, who slotted away his sixth goal in his last eight Premier League games.

West Ham pulled one back late on when Henderson was unable to control a back pass from Tyrick Mitchell.
“Congratulations to the team on this amazing performance and impressive win,” said Glasner.
“The first half, especially the first 30 minutes, were nice to watch, for me as a manager and everybody here at Selhurst Park.
“With how we played with pressure, created our chances and scored our goals, we didn’t give them the situations.
“When we got a little bit sloppy, we gave them some set-pieces and we conceded a goal.
“We were still very concentrated in the second half.
“We might not have had the punch that we had in the first 30 minutes for offensive actions, but we scored a nice goal.
“We had two or three big chances in the second half.
“I’m very pleased with the performance today.”
