Oliver Glasner provides Adam Wharton update after Crystal Palace midfielder forced off in West Ham win
Oliver Glasner said a knock to Adam Wharton’s knee forced the midfielder off in Crystal Palace’s 5-2 win over West Ham on Sunday.
Wharton played 61 minutes at Selhurst Park before being forced off for Naouirou Ahamada following a coming together with a West Ham player.
The 20-year-old has featured in every game for the Eagles since coming to South London in January from Championship side Blackburn.
A brace from Jean-Philippe Mateta and goals from Michael Olise and Eberechi Eze saw the Eagles record a 5-2 win over the Hammers – Palace’s biggest win under Glasner since he arrived at Selhurst Park.
“It was a knee on knee – he got a knock,” said Glasner.
“Of course, it hurts, so we’ll see.
“I don’t think it’s too serious.
“It’s painful, but he’s a young guy, so he can deal with the pain.”
