First team coach leaves AFC Wimbledon

AFC Wimbledon have announced that Rob Tuvey has left his role of first team coach.

He initially joined as a coach with the AFC Wimbledon Foundation in 2012.

Tuvey then joined the academy as a coach and progressed through the ranks to a senior position, culminating in managing the U18s in 2019.

He was promoted to the first team under Mark Robinson in 2021 and has spent the past two seasons alongside Johnnie Jackson and Terry Skiverton.

Tuvey said: “After 14 incredible years, I am bidding farewell to AFC Wimbledon. It has been an honour to represent the club across the academy and first-team.

“I am immensely proud of the players who have made the progression from the academy to professional footballers and for the part I have played in their journeys.

“I hope my dedication and passion have added to the legacy at AFC Wimbledon, and I will fondly remember all my experiences shared with players and fans alike.

“ I would like to say thank you to all of the management, staff and players who I have worked with over the years. AFC Wimbledon holds a special place with me and I would like to wish everyone at the club and all of the supporters the very best in the future.”
