New building opened at Eltham College
The Lord Lieutenant of Greater London opened a new building at a school providing students with a new maths and modern languages department.
Kenneth Olisa OBE, escorted by Colonel Murfin, Deputy Lieutenant of Bromley, attended Eltham College to officially open a new building on the College grounds.
The Turberville Building, named after Geoffrey Turberville, headmaster from 1930 to 1959, will also provide a new sixth form centre with study space, careers office and an on-site cafe.
Guy Sanderson, headmaster of Eltham College, said “We are delighted that the Lord Lieutenant of Greater London could join us and officially open these new buildings, which will allow us to provide exceptional new facilities for our students.
“This is an exciting phase of development for the college as we look to enhance our teaching and learning space before becoming fully co-educational from 2020.”
