QPR complete double deal – with ex-Celtic winger arriving on loan

QPR have swooped to sign attacking midfielders Koki Saito and Karamoko Dembele on season-long loans.

Dembele spent last season on loan at League One side Blackpool, scoring nine goals in 47 games and picking up 14 assists.

The 21-year-old came through the ranks at Celtic before moving to France two years ago. He has agreed a loan deal to west London from Brest.

Dembele told the club website:  “I have heard amazing things about it here and I just can’t wait to get started, to be honest.

He told the club website: “This is a great platform for me to progress in my career. I spoke to Martí (Cifuentes) and I spoke to Christian (Nourry) and I really felt the ‘want’, which I think is important.

“The conversations I had with them were good and from there, my decision was made.”

Japan youth international Saito joins from Belgian side Lommel.

He spent the past two years on loan at Dutch top-flight club Sparta Rotterdam.

The 23-year-old recently represented Japan at the Paris Olympics.

Saito added: “I am really looking forward to playing for a big club like QPR, and I want to contribute to the team by providing results, goals and assists.

“Thinking about where I want to be and what I want to achieve, it will be a great step to play for QPR.”
