Crystal Palace defender Daniel Munoz set for scan after suffering injury in Liverpool clash
Oliver Glasner has confirmed that Daniel Munoz will have a scan on Sunday after the Crystal Palace wing-back suffered a groin adductor injury in the 1-0 defeat to Liverpool on Saturday.
The Eagles were forced into an early change at 1-0 down, with Munoz going down and requiring treatment.
Nathaniel Clyne came on after 16 minutes and filled in at right wing-back.
Clyne switched to left wing-back after the 60th minute after Tyrick Mitchell was subbed off for Jean-Philippe Mateta.
Ismaila Sarr played as the right wing-back for the final stages of the game.
Exciting full-back Caleb Kporha, 18, was named in Glasner’s first-team squad for the first time.
“We will see with Daniel,” said Glasner.
“He will have a scan. This is what many players and managers are talking about.
“It’s no coincidence that the international players get injured, with Daniel Munoz and Allison at the end.
“Their programme is too much. There is no break in summer and they’re playing, playing and playing.
“It was his [groin] adductor. We hope it’s not too serious. He will have a scan tomorrow.”
