Bromley boss asked for early Michael Cheek injury update after Tranmere defeat – with Doncaster in midweek

Bromley boss Andy Woodman says Michael Cheek was withdrawn as a precaution during their 2-1 defeat to Tranmere on Saturday.

However, the Ravens will not know the full extent of his injury until Sunday.

Cheek went down early on in the second half after being caught on the edge of the box.

The talisman continued for a few more minutes before going down and coming off on the 55th minute.

Louis Dennis came on in his place and partnered Levi Amatchi up top.

Two goals in the space of five minutes – strikes from Omari Patrick and Harvey Saunders – gave the visitors all three points.

Louis Dennis pulled one back in the final minutes of stoppage time.

The South Londoners, who are now nine League Two outings without a win, head to Doncaster Rovers on Tuesday night.

“We will have a look at him tomorrow and then decide from there,” said Woodman.

“We will assess it in the morning.

“Cheeky is quite a durable guy. It was a bit of a precaution, really.

“We will see in the morning.”
