Team line-ups for Millwall v Sunderland: Jake Cooper misses out due to injury
Millwall head coach Neil Harris has made five changes for today’s home game against Championship leaders Sunderland.
The headline news is that Jake Cooper misses out due to injury with Shaun Hutchinson replacing him at centre-back.
Other switches see Joe Bryan start at left-back with Danny McNamara making way.
George Saville replaces Ryan Wintle while Duncan Watmore is preferred to Femi Azeez as he faces his former club.
George Honeyman steps in for Tom Bradshaw with Josh Coburn set to play the main striking role for the South Londoners, who are unbeaten in their last seven league matches.
Millwall have won their last three home league games, all by 1-0 scorelines. They last won four in a row at the Den in October 2022, while they last did so with a clean sheet each time in March 2010 in League One.
Sunderland have picked up 31 points in 15 Championship games this season (W9 D4 L2), their best start to a season at this level since 1998-99 (also 31 points) when they eventually won the league.
The Black Cats have a significant injury list and also three players serving suspensions – Jobe Bellingham, Trai Hume and Patrick Roberts.
