Neil Harris up for Manager of the Month award with Japhet Tanganga shortlisted in player category
Outgoing Millwall head coach Neil Harris has been nominated for November’s Championship Manager of the Month award – with centre-back Japhet Tanganga shortlisted in the player category over the same period.
The Lions confirmed on Tuesday that Harris was quitting his post but would stay in charge for two more matches, last night’s 1-0 loss to Sheffield United at The Den and Saturday’s trip to Middlesbrough.
Millwall collected nine points in November with impressive 1-0 victories at home against big-spending Burnley and Leeds.
Also up for the managerial accolade are Michael Carrick (Middlesbrough), Chris Wilder (Sheffield United) and Scott Parker (Burnley).
Tanganga, signed in the summer on a free transfer after leaving Tottenham, has been a class act.
Millwall conceded just three goals in their five matches in November.
Other players shortlisted are Finn Azaz (Middlesbrough), Vakoun Bayo (Watford) and Borja Sainz (Norwich).
