Hundreds of homes to be built in next phase of Clapham Park masterplan
Hundreds of homes will be built in Clapham as part of a £1.2billion regeneration scheme.
A Joint Venture (JV) between the Vistry Group and housing association Metropolitan Thames Valley Housing (MTVH) is set to begin the third phase of its Clapham Park masterplan after securing a number of deals.
Construction will begin on a total of 323 homes after the JV was granted land from Metropolitan Housing Trust.
Supported by a grant from the Greater London Authority (GLA), 77 per cent of the homes will be affordable.
The first affordable homes on the phase are expected to be complete in 2026.
Guy Burnett, executive director of development at MTVH, said: “We’re delighted to have come to this agreement with Vistry which will begin the next exciting new phase in the regeneration of Clapham Park.
“This agreement represents yet another huge investment in our flagship regeneration scheme, and reaffirms our commitment to providing the high quality, affordable homes, across a range of tenures, which the local community needs.”
In total the Clapham Park regeneration, which spans 36 hectares, will deliver more than 4,000 homes.
There will also be a community centre, a market square, two parks, commercial and retail space, and an air source heat pump district heating system.
